My degree collection

The original concept for my BA collection was formed during a trip to Japan in 2016 as it was here that I discovered the most important shapes and details for this capsule collection. The oriental culture caught my attention immediately:  The femininity,  the amazing history and the longevity inspired me to create a timeless line.

I fused two different cultures: Firstly, the Japanese, with such wonderful silhouettes and shapes of the Samurai, the military uniforms and the Tobi-Workers, and secondly, the American philosophy of freedom characterised by the "Vintage Bikers" Style. 

2016 marked the 70 years anniversary of the US atomic bombings of Japan and I decided to call my BA collection "70 Years Later..." as I felt it symbolised a union between these two cultures.
